2013: The return of date nights

I seen this post on Lola’s blog and loved the idea so turned to my boyfriend with the puppy dog eyes and asked him if we could do the same thing. He wasn’t exactly jumping for joy and said “is this your way of telling me we don’t do enough?” While I see my Boyfriend most weekends we rarely do anything of interest, it is either spent being lazy or shopping, I would like to start to create proper memories for us to look back on at the end of the year (feels weird saying that as it is only the 2nd of January).

Me and my BF made a list of things we wanted to do together (I will admit most of these were my idea, the bf wanted to just put duvet days haha which wasn’t really the point) and we then narrowed it down to the things we actually though feasible to do and that I could actually get my boyfriend to do (he is quiet an introvert, who likes his routine and isn’t overly social).

So here is our 12 things:

1.            Go to the Cinema
2.            Return to Longleat Zoo
3.            Go Bowling
4.            Go to Legoland
5.            Have Dinner at Ed’s Diner
6.            Go to Brighton
7.            Go to a Museum in London
8.            Have a Lord of the rings weekend
9.            Have a games night (Wii and iPad games)
10.         Go to the park and play on swings and feed the ducks
11.         Take a scenic drive, put on a cheesy playlist and take pictures of the view
12.         Return to the pub we went to on our first date

I then wrote them out of card and placed them in Envelopes with the months on so we’ll be opening each envelope at the beginning of each month and setting aside one day to complete the ‘date’ and I will be blogging about each date night so you know what we have been up to and how it is going.

All Safe for opening
Now to find time...
Do you and your other half have date nights?

  1. That's such a good idea! We never have date nights, in fact it's as much as I can do to get an answer out of my fella as he's always nuts deep in pc gaming...but it's something I definitely want to sort out. Have loads of fun! x x
