Simply Be scuba prom dress review

Dress* - Simply Be
Necklace - Debenhams

The lovely team over at Simply Be sent me this lovely dress, i'd had my eye on this dress for a while as it is stunning, the almost nude coloured backgrounded is splashed with colourful flowers, normally you would see this on a black background so i thought it was something a bit different. The sleeves are long enough to not need a cardigan, which i like. There are pleats to the skirt, you will know that i am not a huge fan of pleats, they seem to sit odd on me but on this skirt they seem ok, they don't make me look any bigger. There is an exposed zip to the back which is a nice detail. It is is made from the popular scuba material that is everywhere at the moment, it has some stretch and help the dress keep its shape. Now the drawback, this dress is short, on me it sits mid thigh and i'm only 5'4 so if you are tall, this dress isn't going to work for you. It is even pushing it for me as i don't think i could bend over without flashing my knickers. For reference i am wearing a size 20.

The big question though, it is worth £60? i personally wouldn't pay that for it, i would wait for it to go into the sale and snap it up then. I think the quality is there but it is more of an occasion dress than everyday dress but i think with tights, pumps and a cardigan you could dress it down, making it more wearable. I haven't washed it so can't comment on that, but i think it would wash well, the only problem i could foresee is shrinking.
