Bright Floral

In the recent #psbloggerschat (Sunday Night 9pm GMT if you want to join in) we were discussing things out of our comfort zone and i said i wish i experimented more with colour, yes i have moved away the 'slimming hides a multitude of sins' black wardrobe i once owned to a more colourful and vibrant wardrobe but i will think i am a lot afraid of colour, it makes you stand out and draws (not always wanted) attention to you and even though i am happy with my body and have come a long away there is still an element of wanting to be inconspicuous sometimes, especially when i am teaching or going about town on my own (i don't want to draw attention to my size as i think if someone called me fat while on the outside i might be able to put on a brave face and say something like 'oh really, i hadn't noticed' but on the inside i would crumble, feel really embarrassed and probably end up crying in the toilets later while stuffing my face with cookies).

Anyway that was a  long winded way of me basically giving two fingers to people and trying to embody some of the most confident fats i know (Beth, Lisa spring to mind) and go about my daily business dressed very conspicuous, i was pretty much a visual assault on the eyes hehe.

Top of the Crop

God i do love a god pun in a title (and i think i might be the only one). Today i am keeping it short and sweet,   the outfit here does all the talking! Fat babe in a crop top and vbo including pencil skirt, truly embracing my fat bitch!

Geometric

This has become a staple of my everyday wear at the moment, i am work from home alot so i want something comfy and as the weather is being quite frankly erratic i need something that can keep me warm but will also keep me cool. The cotton jersey material is great for that. Normally i would get a 20 in this style but i had to size up to a 22 as the print stretched way too much over my bust. This dress is also a bit out of my comfort zone, i normally wear skater style or empire line as i like my dresses to flow from my bust but this is a drop waist and i think it actually works really well, a turn up for the books!

Kiss Kiss

On Tuesday I had my Birthday meal in Bath as i was coming home the next day for a few weeks. It was lovely to have a chilled night with my friends. I wanted to look fab but understated so choose my Clements Ribeiro dress. I had to get the 24 in this as the 22 was a perfect everywhere but my bust so i had to size up (i still need to add some clear poppers as the space between the buttons in pretty large). I love this dress, the print is great and the dress is a really light material which keeps me cool. It has pockets in the skirt which i am a fan of but it does need belting otherwise it looks a bit shapeless.

Getting dotty with it

When i saw this dress on the website i knew it had to be mine, it spoke to me, other than just whispering 'buy me', it was a perfect style for me and i knew it would look amazing on and i can say i wasn't disappointed. Let's take a minute to look at the pictures of this amazing dress.

The colour is so vibrant and i love blue, the dot detail is so pretty, the tie belt gives it amazing shape, the longer sleeve means i don't need a cardigan. I like the that slip is a bit shorter than the dress. It is just perfection in my eyes. I got a 22 as i knew i would need some space for the boobs (buttons and me have a long standing eyeballing comepttion) but i found the fit was great, no pulling or gaping. My only gripe is the slip, it is attached via some loops and it just a nightmare, it ends up strangling my armpits and being slightly twisted, i think i am going to cut it free so overcome this. For £45 (although i got it when Evans were offering 20%) this dress is great for the price, the quality is great, i think i can wear it dressed up or dressed down and quite frankly i would pay more for this dress purely because of how amazing it makes me feel.

Do you have 'that' dress that makes you feel like a princess?
