Fatshionologie: A day at the races

Fatshionologie is a blogger style challenge born out of a discussion on twitter in the hope that it would help us create exciting new content for our blogs as well as show that each new style 'theme' can be rocked by a variety of different body shapes!

This months theme was A Day At The Races, in honor of the grand national.

I had the perfect dress in mind for this challenge, sadly it is 70miles away at my house in Bath, while i am still at the BF's, so i had to get creative and see what i could do with what i had with me.

Dress - ASOS Curve
Shoes - Matalan
Hat - Borrowed from my mum but from Primark

I love this theme (it was actually my suggestion), i go to Ascot as least once a year, sadly i have never been to Royal Ascot and normally go in the winter months, meaning i have to wrap up warm, but for this challenge i decided to dress as if i was going to Royal Ascot maybe, i wanted to add a bit of glam. This is a new addition to ASOS Curve, i was drawn in by the print which is lovely, it is quite a heavy dress but the skirt is lovely and full (you could do lots of twirling). It is more cream than white. I also love the black band, it is fitted and goes the full way round the dress, leaving a panel at the front, a really nice detail. I have gone bare legged (shock horror) but sometimes you just need to get the legs out and paired this outfit with my amazing matalan 70's cut out shoes, which make my legs look really long! You couldn't have a race day outfit without some kind of hat, so i borrowed this off my mu, i loved the netting over my face and think it finishes off the outfit perfectly.

I hope you liked my Day At The Races Look, now go check out the others girls take on the theme:

Joanna - Just Joanna
Charmaine - My twenty1
Steph - Seeing Spots
Kim - Call Me Kim
Leah - Just Me Leah
