New Look Strappy Top
17 Jun 2015
Jeans - Evans
Top - New Look Inspire
I have a confession to make, this self confessed dress-o-holic has been wearing jeans, at least once a week! I know it is shocking, shall i give you a minute to get over that? i guess my style is evolving again slightly and dresses aren't always practical. I raved about the jeans here, and it still stands, i'm actually looking to get a black pair.
I love these strap detail tops but i've never really seen them in plus size and it is just something i accepted i would probably never get. Browsing New Look one day, doing my weekly stock take, i stumbled upon this top and it was straight in my basket, I love it, i'm wearing a 24 as the material doesn't have much give, i was a bit worried about the length as my body is so short but with the side splits, it actually looks good. You can also rock it with leggings just as well.

Key Trend #Sequins for plus size
8 Nov 2014
On Saturday I attended the Festival Place fashion weekend and I was thrilled to see Jada Sezer, a top plus size model gracing the run way. It shows what great steps plus size fashion is making. I want to show you how you can wear this seasons key trends, at any size. Sequins are glamour personified. Get this season's shimmer and shine trend just right and you'll look oh-so awesome. Get it wrong and, well, you'll look like Tinkerbell from the local panto.
It is easy to feel as a plus size woman that you can’t follow the trends but with more and more high street brands offering plus size ranges that are influenced by the catwalk there is no better time to step outside your comfort zone and be on the cutting edge of fashion, something you might not have thought was possible.

Magnificent 7th: Autumn Walk

We will be posting on the 7th of each month, and the aim of the challenge is to create an outfit to fit the theme, using clothes from our wardrobes, and yes that does mean digging deep into the depths and finding those long lost clothes! Hopefully one of us won’t end up in Narnia, but you never know with a bloggers wardrobe!

Tunic* - New Look Inspire
Shoes - Primark
Last week i received a lovely package from the New Look Inspire PR team brimming with goodies, this is the piece that really caught my eye and i ended up wearing it the next day to cover exams. The colours really pop and neon is really on trend at the moment. The material is really light and perfect for summer. I am really getting into these more loose fitting tops, they are so easy to throw on but i think this will also look great paired with heels and a leather jacket (maybe the Simply Be pink one)

Skirt - New Look Inspire
Just a quick one from my today as i'm about to rush off and cover an exam (boo). The weather seems a bit undecided at the moment, warm but with rain and showers. The exam halls are always extra toasty so i use that as a reason to wear more summery clothes. Pencil skirts are not really my style but i am trying harder to wear them and let the VBO run free.
Key trends with New Look Inspire

Dress* - New Look Inspire
Necklace - Black Heart Creatives
I've been a bad blogger, i have had this dress for a few weeks now but have been feeling too rubbish to photo it, but now i'm feeling better, i back in business and ready to show you this lovely dress.
Inspire are running a campaign around the 5 key trends this S/S; Florals, Little Black Dresses, Monochrome Prints, Blue Jeans and Aztec Prints. Being a maverick i have gone for a take on the little black dress, but with some other of the key trends this spring, pastel and lace. As soon as i saw this dress on the website i knew it was the one, it was just so pretty, i loved the lace detailing, it is almost like a shrug, it is just so intricate and feminine. The dress is a muted peach colour, which doesn't look too bad against my pale skin. There is soft rouching to the bust and the skirt is soft and floaty.
Now i did have one issue with this dress, size. I originally asked for a 22 but it was tiny, my size 18 mother could only just get it on. New Look were really helpful and i was able to get a voucher to order the dress, i ended up in a 26, which is a bit big on my bust but the 24 was still too tight. I used to find Inspire was true to size, but more and more i am having to size up a size or two to get a comfortable fit. So if you are going to order this dress, think about sizing up.
On a side note, how amazing is my new Fatbulous necklace? Charlotte is my go to for unique jewellery so go check her out.

Dress - New Look Inspire
Cardigan - H&M
Shoes - Topshop
Day 24 of 30 days 30 dresses. Another look i kinda just throw together, i liked the dress but it needed something to lift it, so i tried on a few cardigans and this mustard one just really tied the whole look together. I feel like i'm head girl at sixth form in this outfit.

OMCZ: Red carpet Glamour

Challenge 27#
Red carpet glamour- This weeks challenge theme has been chosen by me! Here is what i said about it "As it is award season i would love to see some Red Carpet Glamour. Be inspired by some of the amazing outfits that have been down the red carpet and try and incorporate some of the key trends that seem to be appearing (colour blocking, bold colours, black and white) or even try and emulate your favourite stars red carpet look. "
Dress - Koko via New Look Inspire
Necklace - Primark
I had such grand plans when i set this challenge, i wanted a really special knock out dress, but having done the 12 days of Christmas dresses i have shown most of my really wow dresses, couple that with an awful cold/back pain and i feel a little let down with my final look, sorry! I got this dress in he sale, i had my eye on it for ages, they had a 22 left and i didn't actually expect it to fit me as i find koko runs small, but because the top part of stretchy it fit like a dream. I love the shape of the dress, v neck to show some cleavage, nips me in at the waist and glides over my hips. I would have liked it to be a few inches longer for a more classy look. Add a statement necklace and i am ready to go. This is maybe more Razzies red carpet than Oscar Red carpet.
