Hen Party

On Saturday it was one of the PhD girls hen party, we had planned a nice boat trip on the river, dinner and a comedy walk around Bath. We picked the perfect day for it as the sun shining and the sky was blue.

Ready to set off on our boat ride (where we seen some very hunky topless rowers)

In the center of Bath after making a paper and tin foil dress for the bride.

I wanted to be comfy and cool as i knew it was going to be a long day and it needed to be something that could go to a bar in the evening. This dress is lovely, i like the pattern and the lace detail, a perfect choice for  the day as the little cap sleeves kept my shoulders from burning and the high neckline of the lace kept be covered up but with a hint of sexy with the added keyhole detail. It has splits up either side which come to about knee height. It is made of jersery which is good for this weather as it doesn't cling or make you too warm. My only gripe with this dress is the length, it is about an inch too short and i am only 5'4 so how someone smaller can wear it i don't know. It looks floor length on the 5'10 model so something has happened along the way, just not quite sure what.
