I have been a bit lacking in my ASOS Curve reviews recently, i bought soooooo much in the sale but only kept about 5% of it, mostly due to poor fit, which was sad as i really loved some of the bits, i didn't get photos as i pretty much sent them back straight away so my money wasn't tied up. But i recently made two purchases which i've kept and i wanted to show you.
Premium Floral Skater Dress With Buckle Straps £55. Available here
This dress has a hefty £55 price tag, more than i would normally pay for a dress but i have lusted after this dress since i seen it in the preview, i love the buckle detail on the straps and the print is stunning so it had to be mine, yes i could wait for the sale but then it would be too cold to wear it.
I got a 22 and 24 (i have learnt that i will often need several sizes and this saves me time) the 22 got over my head and went no further, it just wouldn't go over my bust, and i normally wear a 22 in this kind of dress from ASOS so i was lucky i had ordered the 24, this one went on perfectly, it might look like my boobs are a bit squashed but it is just the way the dress fits, they are fine in there. It is now a bit big in the waist but i don't think you really notice it. My only gripe with this dress is that it has a net tutu around the waist (not full length) that makes it quite poofy, as someones who has big hips i don't really need a dress adding to my hips but my mum said it looked fine and that i was just worrying for no reason.
Pinafore Dress - £25 available here
I am in love with pinafore dresses so when i seen this my heart was all a flutter and at £25 it is a really good price. I got a size 22 (i thought i would need the room for my hips) but i could have actually sized down to a 20 (i didn't) as this is made from a jersey material so have some stretch to it. The straps are adjustable which i like too, as i'm actually quite narrow there i find the straps often hang off me but i can change this to be the perfect fit, it also has a little pocket in the top, not sure if it is usable but it is a cute touch. The straps can be worn crossed over or straight which is nice to have the choice. A lot of people were worried about the length of this, i'm 5'4 but have long legs and it is mid thigh on me so not indecently short. I am just keeping my fingers for some patterned versions and/or a denim version.
