I think what was to be said about Plus North has already been said in the many other posts written about it. It is such a fabulous event, i love being around so many other fat ladies, it is so liberating and friendly. I got to meet many faces i have been chatting to online and spent time with ladies i've known for while. I kinda wish we could just start a commune and all live together. If you haven't attended a event like this, all i can say is, do it, it will change you as a person and help you see yourself in a new light.
Onto the dress and my my isn't she is a beauty. I actually had this sent to the hotel and picked it up Friday so it was a bit of a last minute decision. I really want the Pin Up Girl Birdie dress but i can't afford it at the moment and this is a similar shape, i wasn't sure if the yellow would work on my pale skin but i think it did and i received many compliments. Sizing wise, i am wearing a 24 as i thought i might need the room for the boobs and i was right, i find Lindy Bop sizing can be erratic and i go from a 20 to a 26 not even fitting me, so it really is trial and error. I wore my hair up in a vintage style roll which isn't something you normally see on me, and i actually did it myself, if people are interested, i will do a post on my secret to mastering it. A slick of MAC Moxie and i was ready to go and have the time of my life.
