Plus North part 3

So this is the final part of my Plus North write up, sorry it has taken me so long to get this final part up.

I forgot to say in my last post i got to meet the lovely Emily (who is a babe) and also got to catch up with Laura, who looked amazing considered she had a baby recently, hopefully he will come to the next Plus North!

The evening party was sponsored by Scarlett and Jo, they had BGT star Rosie O'Sullivan singing (she was amazing) and then a fab catwalk, which just made me want even more of the clothes! and all the girls looked stunning.

Being slight party poopers, a selection of us headed back to the hotel bar to get some food and have a more chilled evening as we ran out of the food at the event, but it sounds like a we miss a great evening and everyone had a great time.

I had the most amazing weekend and didn't want to leave, so i can't thank Becky and Toni for organizing it. Plus North is like entering a whole different amazing world where us fatties rule the roost and everyone is happy and all the amazing ladies are around each other feeling confident and like we can take on the world, i can hardly wait a year for the next one!

Plus North part 2

I can't believe it was a week ago today that i was in Manchester about to start one of the most amazing weekends.

I was a bit of a shit blogger really and didn't take any photos and didn't get any of my outfits either (but i have re-created them for you) but there are loads of photos floating around the other Plus North write ups.

It was an early start and i didn't have much sleep so felt a bit like death, thank god for make up is all i can say. After getting ready Steph and I headed out to get some breakfast, i got some looks walking through Manchester city center in my dress and shoes eating a Gregg's, it screamed walk of shame.

This is the dress i wore to the Best British Bloggers Workshop, it is from Tesco!
Our first stop was the Best British Bloggers workshop, which was ran by the amazing Emma, Amy and Chloe who offered some great insights and it was just a really lovely two way conversation that developed, we even had a little chat with them at the end.

Then it was onto the main event, we queued to get in like excited school children and after getting our programme and raffle tickets from the men folk we genuinely didn't know where to go first, it all looked so amazing and inviting. The brands i saw were amazingly friendly and happy to chat to us, i spent ages talking o the Evans team and was sad to not get enough time to talk to the Scarlett and Jo team as i would have loved to.

We took over a table early on and named in the babe station, as it was where all the babes were and readied ourselves for the catwalks (i missed a few of them sadly) but the ones i seen were great, it was so postitve, everyone was cheering and clapping, the girls looks amazing and you could see they felt confident in themselves which surely events like this are about?

I also attended the body confidence workshop held by Gina which was fab, although i felt a but naughty being there as i'm quite confident really, but i found it really insightful.

I wore the Em's blogger dress as i received so many compliments
I didn't manage to get round all the stalls which i'm gutted about and i think i missed the all the great stock from Life's big canvas and Twisted siren. I only just managed to get a picture in the might booth, which was hilarious, three of us tried to get in but my boobs just took over the screen so one of us had to get out.

I didn't get to meet everyone as i was quite elusive it appears but i promise i will meet you all soon and i was really disappointed to have missed some people. The day was over in a flash and i wished it could have gone on for a few more hours, if not forever. I was lucky enough to win a Boudoir shoot in the raffle which was donated by the lovely Patty and we headed back to the hotel to get ready for the evening

Plus North - Part 1

The wait was finally over, Friday morning (after a manic day before and a little break down over if i should be coming) I boarded a train to Manchester to attend Plus North. It felt a bit like Christmas, i had that same excited feeling in my belly.

Plus North for those of you who don't know is a Plus Size event organised by the fabulously lovely Becky and Toni. This was the second event and i was really sad when i couldn't go last year.

I met up with Steph, my roomie for the weekend and we headed over to the Travelodge we were staying in, only to bump into the Becka and Chloe in the reception, where Chloe proceeded to tell me she was surprised at how happy i was as i appeared to be a grumpy miss in my photos (i am working on my teeth-y smile for you Chloe).

Steph and I headed into town for a bit and i had one of the bet cheese toasties of my life in Costa, it really was ultimate before heading back to meet Beth and get ready for the evening, but before that i had to pop upstairs to say hello to Meg and Sian, who were beyond amazing in real life and such a good laugh; i think Megsy (my pet name for her) is my new partner in crime.

The evening had been organised by Beth, 30 fatties heading to an all you can eat buffet (i kid you not, when we arrived we had to wait downstairs, i think they were warning the other diners of our arrivals and telling them to grab as much food as they could). But first a quick pop into the Slug Lettuce where i finally got to meet some of the amazing ladies i had been following and reading for what feels like forever (Elena, Kathryn, Gemma, Emma, Nikki, Dani, Mel, Kaye and so many more i can't remember)  i was in there all of 5 minutes before i had my head in Beka's Boobs (that set the tone for the weekend really). It was just so amazing so see all these ladies, looking amazing and being so confident, i loved the just don't give a shit vibe that was floating around.

We ended the evening back in Beth's room playing with some props and taking some hilarious photos, i don't think i have ever taken so many seflies in my life. It was just great to be around these ladies and we had a blast, i dragged my sorry bum to bed at 2.30 ready for the next day....
