Scarlet and Jo Review

I was recently contacted by the lovely Lucy from Scarlet and Jo asking if i would like to review a piece, I of course jumped at the chance, as i loved their recent collection for Evans.

It arrived and was just so pretty, i almost didn't want to rip into it.

Inside was a stunning blue tunic with shoulder embellishment detail and tie waist. The colour is so vivid and bright, it really is eye catching, even in my wardrobe it stands out when i'm browsing through.

The sleeves are 3/4 length and fluted to keep you cool but also give you a bit of modesty.

The shape of the dress isn't something i would normal wear, tunic styles seem to skim over my tummy a bit much and don't emphasize my hourglass figure. The dress is lined with an overlay, giving a more subtle and feminine look. The shoulder detail really adds a little something. This to me isn't an everyday dress, it is an occasion dress, perfect for summer weddings.

The length sits just about my knee and i am 5'4, this dress is a 22 and i feel that it is true to size, i would just wear some good shape underwear under it to smooth me out. It retails for £35 which i think is a great price for a dress of this quality and the amazing details (the sleeves and embellishment)

I pesonally didn't like the tie belt on me and thought it needs something a bit more delicate so i added a thin silver bow belt and my blazer to add a bit more of my taste and style to the dress....
