Bone daddy

Dress - ASOS Curve
Necklace - Topshop

Some dresses you just fall in love with straight away, but i wasn't quick enough to snap this up before it sold out, so i stalked the ASOS website daily hoping someone would return one and i could get my grubby mitts on it, and one day i was in luck, a size 20 was just sitting there waiting for me, so i snapped it up.It was after Halloween now but i didn't mind, the dress is still fab and i think i will wear it all year round. I get a bit frustrated with ASOS Curve, the material they use is notorious for going white over my bust, even if i size up, yet the ASOS main range stuff doesn't have this problem, this is my only gripe with the dress, overall, it was and still is love at first sight.

Points to anyone who knows where the title is from.

NOTD

If you follow me on Instgram you will see that i post a lot of pictures of my nails (if you don't follow me, maybe you should hehe) and sometimes i like a look so much i want to put it on the blog. If this bores you sorry, just skip it. If this interests you, then you are in luck.

I scream, you scream, we all scream, for ice cream

I have taken my sweet time getting this outfit posted, and now it looks out of place as it has turned so cold, sorry! But this dress is perfect for a/w, for me it was too thick for summer and i would have got too warm, i just need to add some boots and a thick cardigan and this outfit is winter ready. I found the blogger collection dresses to be quite generously cut and am wearing an 18 here, i don't really need to say much about the dress as many bloggers have said it before but Lauren did an amazing job, a dress with ice creams on, it is just everything rolled into one.

Staind glass window

Dress - ASOS
Shoes - Clarks

Yesterday i showed you my face for my PhD dinner, now to show you my outfit, i wore this amazing ASOS dress, it features lots of different staind glass windows all over it. This is from the main range and has a lot of stretch, i could have sized down to the 16! Goes to show you need to try things. I received so many compliments on this dress, it really is a stunner.

FOTD #5

In the week we had a PhD dinner to celebrate some people handing in their thesis. I wanted a slightly bolder look than i normally go for and i wanted to try out some products (The Laura Mercier palette and the MUA velvet lips) and i think overall i created a look that was translated from day to night (i was teaching all day and went straight from uni). I think the Bobbi Brown foundation is my new favorite, i just can't say enough good things about it. I went for a purple eye (different from my normal nuteral eye) and the MUA velvet lips packs quite a punch colour wise, i did find the colour wears off quite easily in the lips and leaves quite a stubborn lip liner look so you need to keep it topped up.

Products used
Benefit Sun beam
Bobbi Brown Long wear even finish foundation (Warm Ivory)
Mineralize Skine finish (Lightscapde)
Benefit Hervana
Benefit Bella Bamba
Laura Mercier Artist's palette (Violet ink and African Violet)
Eyeko brow gel
Lancome le crayon khol (Noir)
Lancome Hypnose mascara
MUA velvet lips (Funk)

Polka Polka Face

Dress - Yours

Last weekend i went to see Bo Burnham, he is a youtube star who writes funny songs and he finally brought his tour to the UK so i jumped at the chance to get tickets. As it was a Saturday night i decided to put in a bit of effort, nothing too overboard though and thought this was the perfect dress for such an occasion, it is almost baby doll style, i love the polka dots and the necklace, which actually buttons to the waist and the little cap sleeves just finish the look off. I will leave you with one of Bo's videos, enjoy.
